Welcoming Maggie Mahood and Valerie Williams to the Board

Valerie Williams – Board of Directors

Valerie Williams is a dynamic marketing professional with a proven track record of success across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing at Envista Federal Credit Union, she has played a key role in shaping the financial institution’s marketing strategies since 2023. Beyond her corporate leadership, Valerie is also the co-owner of Blackbird Espresso Bar & Bistro, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.

Valerie’s expertise extends far beyond the financial sector. Since 2007, she has provided consulting services in marketing and communications, helping businesses refine their messaging and grow their reach. Her career includes working with major organizations such as Colibri Group, SE2, Advisors Excel, and Stormont Vail Health, where she has successfully developed and executed marketing initiatives across industries including healthcare, education, architecture, and publishing. Valerie’s ability to craft strategic messaging and adapt communications to meet the unique needs of various sectors makes her a valuable addition to the board.

Maggie Mahood – Board of Directors

Maggie Mahood brings a unique blend of sales, media strategy, and leadership to the board. Since 2019, she has been a media consultant with WIBW TV, helping businesses optimize their advertising and media presence. Her extensive experience in sales and client relations stems from her 15-year career in automotive sales with Lewis Auto, where she honed her skills in customer engagement and strategic sales growth.

Before stepping into the business world, Maggie spent over a decade in collegiate athletics as an Assistant Coach for the University of Kansas Women’s Basketball team from 1991 to 2004. During her time with KU, she played a pivotal role in shaping the athletics program and mentoring student-athletes. Her background in coaching, combined with her expertise in media consulting and sales, brings a valuable perspective to the board, particularly in areas of leadership, marketing, and strategic development.

As board members, Maggie Mahood and Valerie Williams will contribute their diverse skill sets to support the organization’s mission and strategic initiatives. Their leadership and expertise in marketing, media, sales, and business development will help guide key decisions and drive impactful programs.
