Vision for the Future

In celebration of 20 years, members shared their vision for the future, shaped by hope, generosity, and commitment to our community, here is a summary of the thoughts and comments shared:

Women’s Fund Growth

  • Increase membership to 500, 1,000, or more women of diverse backgrounds.

  • Invite high school and college-aged women to events and leadership opportunities.

  • Ensure the Fund remains inclusive and welcoming to diverse voices.

  • Increase awareness of the Women’s Fund beyond the annual luncheon.

  • Create more ways for members to volunteer and connect.

  • Offer mentoring opportunities to cultivate the next generation of philanthropic leaders.

Women’s Fund Giving

  • Reach $2 million in total grants.

  • Grow grantmaking to include more grantees and increased grant requests.

  • Continue funding grants that address women’s safety nets, literacy, leadership, and youth development.

  • Keep grants focused on community needs while avoiding political or religious affiliations that could alienate supporters.

  • Expand support for programs that foster women’s leadership, mentorship, and empowerment.

  • Provide clear guidelines for grantmaking to ensure transparency and alignment with mission.

  • Keep growing new grant opportunities to stay relevant to changing times.

  • Invest in programs addressing human trafficking, housing, health equity, and education.

  • Support programs preventing human trafficking and protecting vulnerable women and children.

  • Focus on uplifting marginalized groups, ALICE families, and underserved neighborhoods.

  • Invest in reducing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and improving youth outcomes.

  • Encourage greater kindness, hope, and connectedness across the community.
